FAQS

WHAT TYPES OF HEALTH INSURANCE DO YOU ACCEPT?

We accept private health insurance which includes physiotherapy extras. We will be able to provide you with a quote onsite if you would like to know specifically what rebate and gap payment you can expect.

WHAT IS YOUR NEW PATIENT PROCEDURE?

Typically as a new patient you will need to make a booking online or over the phone. Please bring any referral letters or diagnostic scans you may have had. Usually these sessions are a little longer - up to an hour - to ensure we get a full history of your injury and to make sure we have adequate time to complete a full assessment.

DO I NEED A DOCTOR’S REFERRAL?

No, you do not need a Doctor's referral. We are first point of contact practitioners, meaning you can book directly with us. If you would prefer to see your Doctor first that is also more than fine.

CAN I BOOK IN DIRECTLY FOR PILATES?

We require that all clients interested in doing Clinical Pilates undertake a new patient or initial assessment consultation, in order to introduce you to the Pilates equipment.

WHAT IS A PHYSIOTHERAPIST?

A physiotherapist is a healthcare professional who specialises in helping people recover from injuries, illnesses, or disabilities through physical rehabilitation. They use a variety techniques, such as exercise, massage, and stretching, to improve mobility, reduce pain, and restore function to the body. Physiotherapists in Australia have completed Tertiary study and are nationally registered with AHPRA. They can work with people of all ages and backgrounds.

CAN  A PHYSIOTHERAPIST REFER FOR IMAGING?

Physiotherapists can refer patients for investigations such as X-Rays and Ultrasound, although in many cases this imaging does not qualify for bulk billing, and so it may be more affordable to get a referral from your General Practitioner. If imaging is required your physiotherapist will explain your options and ensure that the appropriate referrals are made in a timely manner.
